Yesterday evening London Loveiosa was delighted to host a World Book Night event in London's Paddington Station.

"World Book Night is an annual celebration of reading and books which takes place on 23 April. It sees passionate volunteers give hundreds of thousands of books away in their communities to share their love of reading with people who, for whatever reason, don’t read for pleasure or own books." http://www.worldbooknight.org/what-is-world-book-night

As ever we were overwhelmed by the friendliness of the commuters, Londoners and visitors we met and of the kindness of the wonderful station staff.

Thanks for the cookies Graham

London Loveiosa members worked tirelessly giving away books and talking to the public about World Book Night.

We met some amazing people, saw some awesome kids and spread the word about World Book Night and London Loveiosa.

By the end of the day we had given out over 700 books and the night was a great success!

With special thanks to:

  • Paddington Station and their staff, with a special thank you to Graham
  • World Book Night
  • To the kind people who donated books to us which meant we were able to give away over 700 books on the night!
  • And a massive thank you all the awesome London Loveiosa members who made the event possible
